Time Management

Ephesians 5:15-17

15  Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16  making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

It is always about time.  I was raised a procrastinator in a family of procrastinators, although they would never admit to it.  It is strange how a procrastinator makes lousy use of their time yet has great expectations of all the things the wish to accomplish.  Enter God and His sense of humor, here Krista, I give you Matthew, whom despises wasting time and unrealistic goals.  You will teach him patience and how to gently rein in without quelishing dreams.  He will teach you time management.  I have this list of everything I need to accomplish today and here I sit.  Wasting time.  Wasting?  Not wasting but truly not spending time the way I want or had planned to.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

I love this man of mine.

Sowing dreams

He who tills his land will have plenty of bread,
But he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough! Proverbs 28:19

This winter has been so mild.  We really haven't got much snow; 2 to 3 inches at a time.  Non of it has ever stuck around.  Now it is February 28th and I have garden on my mind.  I started the first seeds on the 25th and they are starting to pop their beautiful little selves through the soil.  This year I picked up a Jiffy Greenhouse with heating mat.  It has so far exceeded expectations.  I have always started seeds in the laundry room on account of the bay window but it is always chilly in there.  It will be interesting to see how these plants compare.  This year I am going to try a couple of new things.  A single season windbreak of sunflowers, amaranth, and quinoa.  I really want to do a lot of mulching as suggested in this article.  A spiral herb garden.  And some tin plant markers.  There may be a few more months of our winter left but it is spring in my heart.  I am dreaming about theses 4 little sweeties diggin' in the dirt.  No doubt Bonnie will be jamming fistfulls in her mouth.  I will also be dreaming about keeping these rascals out.  I do welcome them on the other side of the fence.

{this moment}

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

. . . . . . . .

"O teach us to number our days"

July is zooming by.  Just 17 weeks left in this pregnancy.  Every time I feel the little one I am amazed by the Lords amazing creation.  Every living thing is an ordinary miracle, I love that saying.  Life has been very busy with lots of salmon fishing, garden keeping, house sweeping, knitting, sewing and chasing kids.  I have devoted my self to be an excellent cooker of salmon.  Some that will be reprized are Salmon and Potato quiche and Salmon Croquettes.  As for the garden, I have some things planted but it makes me realize I need a scheduled plan of all the what's and when's especially this coming year.  I have been mostly knitting and sewing for baby.  Strangely I can already feel her in my arms and smell her sweet baby smell, she is happily anticipated throughout the whole family.  Henry always come and says, "Mama I love your baby."  Incidentally 12 days till my 33rd birthday.  Daily my love grows for the Lord and the life he has so kindly blessed my with.
